Oil exports from Iranian ports went down 25 percent in the first two months of the current calendar year (beginning March 21) compared to the same period the year before.
The Mehr News Agency cited a report by the Ports and Maritime Organization stating that in this period 1.8 million tons of oil was exported while last year over 2.4 million tons were sent out of the country.
The same report stated that the shipment of oil-based products in Iranian ports declined 14 percent in the mentioned period, from about 7.6 million tons to 6.6 million tons.
