The delegation of Azerbaijani businessmen and representatives of the tourism sector and related industries traveled to Germany June 20-29 to familiarize with the best practice in tourism and tourism infrastructure in southern Germany, a message said.
The delegation consisted of government officials and 12 businessmen from Baku, Lankaran and Zagatala.
The visit was organized by the PSDP program with the Ministry of Economic Development, Azerbaijan Export Promotion Fund and Investment (AZPROMO), Azerbaijan Investment Company Institute, and Tourism of Azerbaijan.
The delegation included representatives of related sectors such as renewable energy sources.
The main purpose of the visit was to enhance opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijani entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, tourism industry and infrastructure and the relevant government authorities of Germany.
During the visit, delegation members learned about the tourism industry of Germany by holding working meetings with the regional investment promotion agencies, visited the companies with best practices and participate in relevant trade fairs and exhibitions.
The main objectives for the development of tourism infrastructure is the introduction of clean energy, recycling and clean water, removal of land and large-scale regional planning.
