Total area of residential buildings commissioned in Azerbaijan in January-June amounted to 705,000 square meters, which is higher by 38.3 percent compared to the same period of 2009, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee reported.
About 1,933 billion manat, or 24.9 percent more than in January-June 2009 was invested in the construction of production facilities and 1.833 billion manat - construction of facilities in the service sector, or 0.7 percent lower than the same period of 2009.
The total volume of investment fixed in assets amounted to 3. 766 billion manat, which is by 10.9 percent increased over a year. Of the major funds spent on construction works amounted to 2.483 billion manat, or 5.3 percent more than in January-May 2009.
