BIPC exports up 30%

Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC) exported over 668,637 tons of petrochemical products worth over $473 million in the first 4 months of current Iranian calendar year (ended July 22).

The amount shows a 30 percent increase in terms of value in comparison to the same period previous year, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported.

The exported items included propane, butane, pentane, aromatic, benzene, naphtha, artificial rubber, light and heavy poly ethylene.

The export destinations were China, Japan, and the UAE.

Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC) in Imam Khomeini Port produces 5 million tons of petrochemical products annually.

The company exports 21 percent of all petrochemical products exported by Iran.
