Azerbaijan plans to put into operation nine grain warehouses with a total capacity of 208,000 tons by September-October 2010, the Economic Development Ministry reported.
The ministry's National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) said a total of 16 grain warehouses are being built through NFES concessional loans.
Seven grain warehouses with a capacity of 58,000 tons have already been constructed and outfitted with modern equipment. They are ready for operation, the ministry said.
A grain storage facility with a capacity of 20,000 tons has already been commissioned in the Beylagan region. The complex was built by Beyleqan-Taxil with NFES preferential credit. The fund allocated 700,000 manat to construct complex.
