The key element of the capital market infrastructure - Baku Stock Exchange was established on October 1st 2000 and since then has been acting as the organizer of the trades in securities and promoting this segment of the economy. On September 29th of 2010 to celebrate its 10th anniversary Baku Stock Exchange will organize an international conference under the subject of "Collective investment: global experience and opportunities". The purpose of conducting the conference is to introduce the collective investments schemes idea to the potential investors and local business community, and this, in itself, should create the background for popularization of this investment tool in the Azeri capital market.
Baku Stock Exchange invited the senior members of the leading regional stock exchanges as well as the representatives of London Stock Exchange to be the presenters at the conference. The well-known experts in the collective investment field from Luxemburg and UK will be among the speakers of the event. The participants of the conference will include the representatives of the economic block of the government, the diplomatic corps, local business community, banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions.
