Azerbaijani and Greek officials will discuss increasing trade and economic cooperation during the third meeting of an intergovernmental commission in November in Baku.

"Both sides are working to coordinate the date and prepare the agenda of the meeting," , Azerbaijani Ambassador to Greece Rahman Mustafayev told Trend. "As a result of the meeting, a protocol on basic directions and suggestions for further development of trade and economic cooperation is expected to be signed." He added that this is the third meeting of the trade and economics commission.

Mustafayev said Azerbaijan and Greece are working actively to strengthen the legal base for bilateral cooperation, which today includes 15 agreements. They are also considering over 10 new drafts of interdepartmental agreements.

The countries are developing "another very important document," Mustafayev said, which is titled, "Program on Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Greece in the Sciences, Education and Culture for 2010-2012." Azerbaijan has already submitted its proposals for the document to Greece and is waiting for a reply. The document will allow Azerbaijan and Greece to implement various cooperation projects in the specified spheres, he added.
