Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 21 / Trend N.Ismayilova /
Confidence in economic fundamentals is needed to stabilize economic dynamics and restore investor activity in global stock markets, Azerbaijani State Securities Committee Chairman Rufat Aslanli said on Tuesday.
"The fiscal and stimulus measures undertaken at a global level in the past two years have already lead to a process of stabilization in the stock market at a global level in the middle of this year," Aslanli said. "However, the question of the fragility of the macroeconomic stability is still under discussion."
Aslanli said investors, in turn, should not only study market dynamics but also economic fundamentals when making investment decisions. In his view, the restoration of investors activity on a global level should be expected in the middle of next year.
The Azerbaijani stock market did not default and there has been positive trends in government securities and bonds, as well as stable positive dynamics in corporate securities.
