Export of Iranian goods to Azerbaijan provides a unique opportunity to enter the CIS markets and promotes the growth of exports of Iran, the head of the industrial committee of Ardabil province Mohammad Jafar Azmayi said on Friday, the Fars news agency reported.
Iranian goods are exported to 40 countries worldwide. This year, the largest exports of goods were made to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia and Iraq.

During the first half of this year (the year in Iran begins on March 21), over 268,000 tons of goods worth $763 million were exported through the customs checkpoint in the Bilasuvar city of Ardebil province. Exports of goods increased by 29 percent by volume and 67 percent in cash compared to the same period of the last year.

According to him, the Ardabil province exports mainly plastic, metal products, potatoes and a variety of drinks.
