Azerbaijani Pasha Bank successfully represented at Sibos financial services exhibition

Participation of PASHA bank as an official exhibitor at Sibos, premier Financial services Exhibition which took place in Amsterdam on 25-29 October has been met with deep interest by foreign financial organisations, the bank said.

Participation of PASHA bank as an official exhibitor at Sibos, premier Financial services Exhibition which took place in Amsterdam on 25-29 October has been met with deep interest by foreign financial organisations, the bank said.

Management of PASHA Bank participating at Sibos has conducted numerous meetings with leading banks of the world and has taken concrete steps in further enhancement of its correspondent network.  Among others PASHA Bank representatives have met and discussed the cooperation opportunities with management of such well-known banks as: Commerzbank, Wells Fargo, Groupe Crédit Agricole, Citigroup, Raiffeisen Bank International AG, LBBW, Credit Suisse, RBS, Barclays Bank, etc.

"As the first and only official exhibitor from Azerbaijan our mission was a bit different from the ones of other participants. We were there to represent on highest level possible not only our Bank but our country as well. I am delighted to say that we have successfully fulfilled our mission," Farid Akhundov, Chairman of PASHA Bank Executive Board said.

During the forum conducted within the framework of exhibition Mr. Farid Akhundov has given a comprehensive presentation on the investment opportunities in Azerbaijan and has informed the wide audience about fast pace of economy growth in Azerbaijan, about stability of the banking sector in the country and about reforms undertaken by the Government of Azerbaijan for further liberalisation of the economy.  In his presentation Mr. Akhundov has also acquainted the participants with "one-stop-shop" system of enterprise registration, told them about the state structures established to assist the investors and about priority sectors for investments in Azerbaijan.

Participation of PASHA Bank at Sibos has been also widely publicised in European media. Thus, The Banker-monthly international financial affairs publication owned by The Financial Times, Financial News -the part of Dow Jones Group, Swiss journal Finanz und Wirtschaft, German  Banken & Sparkassen  and Geldinstitute, UK Trade Finance and  EMEA Finance have conducted interviews with  Bank's management and published articles on PASHA Bank as the young and perspective Bank which has accessed the international financial arena.

PASHA Bank's successful participation at this event has motivated the Bank's management to participate at the next year's Sibos exhibition which will take place in Toronto in September 2011.
