Azerbaijani banks' total assets increase by 6 percent since early 2010

Total assets of Azerbaijani banks as of October 1, 2010 amounted to 12.35 billion manat, which is 3.1 percent more compared to early September, and 5.9 percent - at the beginning of the year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan said.

Total assets of Azerbaijani banks as of October 1, 2010 amounted to 12.35 billion manat, which is 3.1 percent more compared to early September, and 5.9 percent - at the beginning of the year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan said.

Banks' investments amounted to 957.53 million manat, increased in September by 6 percent, loans given to customers - 8416.89 million manat (1.8 percent). The volume of loans and deposits issued by the financial sector amounted to 541.98 million manat, increasing by 8.2 percent. Funds on correspondent accounts for the period amounted to 818.62 million manat, increasing by 9 percent. Cash of Azerbaijani banks as of October 1, 2010 amounted to 469.19 million manat, increasing by 5 percent.

Total liabilities of Azerbaijani banks as of October 1, 2010 amounted to 10.215 billion manat, increasing by 3.5 percent in September. About 4 613.07 million manat falls to deposits, and 4 903.44 million manat - loans and deposits received from the financial market.
