Staff changes in Turkmenistan affect financial and banking spheres

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has made some personnel changes in the financial bloc of the Government and the banking sector, official Turkmen sources reported on Monday.

According to the signed orders, Shamyrat Mustafayev was appointed deputy minister of economy and development, Saparberdi Gundogdyev became deputy chief of the Tax Service, by which he worked as head of the economic development department of Cabinet of Ministers.
In addition, deputy heads have been appointed to a number of leading banks in the country.

So, Miratniyaz Berdiyev was appointed deputy chairman of the Central Bank, Merdan Gushlyev - deputy chairman of Vnesheconombank, Annaorazov Rejepov - deputy chairman of the board of Turkmenistan Khalkbank State Commercial Bank, Begench Ashyrov - deputy chairman of the Turkmenistan State Commercial Bank.

At the last government meeting, President Berdimuhamedov noted that the successful implementation of all plans for socio-economic development largely depends on the acceleration of ongoing modernization of the banking system, introduction of modern forms of activities and management practices.  

The President instructed to hold a working meeting with heads of relevant agencies to define the priorities facing the financial and economic structures of Turkmenistan, saying that particularly focus should be made on the need for greater professionalism and responsibility of leading cadres in this field.
