In 2011, Turkmenistan will commission 102 major facilities worth $6.2 billion, the national television channel Altyn Asir quoted the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov, as saying.
According to Berdimuhammadov, the social and industrial facilities will be commissioned in accordance with the national program on reforming social and living conditions of population of the villages, towns and settlements in the amount of $767 million.
"These are very great projects, including railroad "North-South", gas and oil pipelines, bridges, roads, factories and plants, facilities of the Avaza resort, hospitals and polyclinics, residential areas and other social and cultural facilities," he said.
President Berdimuhammadov stressed that in general, facilities worth about 7 billion dollars in total will be built and put into operation.
