In 2010, metallurgical industry of Azerbaijan produced products and rendered services worth 171.4 million manat, the State Statistics Committee said.
Amount of production in metallurgical industry in Azerbaijan increased by 44.6 percent, finished metal products during this period decreased by 5 percent.
Amount of production of reinforcement reached 130,300 tons, which is 35.2 percent more than in 2009.
Amount of production of wires and cables made of ferrous metals reached about 1.111.9 million tons, which is 3.4 times more than in 2009.
Production of iron castings was 907,700 tons, which is 41.6 percent less than the same period of 2009. Some 36,500 tons steel pipes were produced, which is 5.3 times more than the same period of 2009.
Amount of export of semi-finished products made from ferrous metal, as a result of eleven months of 2010 exceeded 89,100 tons (in the amount of over $42 million ), which is 5.3 times (in monetary terms in 6.4 times) more compared with the same period of 2009.
Amount of export of angles and channels made from ferrous metal in January-November amounted to over 54,600 tons (more than $24.7 million), which is 106.7 percent more (in the amount 98.8 percent more) compared to the similar figure of 2009.
During January-November the amount of exported pipes made from ferrous metal was more than 32,100 tons (in the amount of over $25.8 million), which is 6.7 times (in monetary terms in 3 times) more compared with corresponding figures of 2009.
