As part of the action plan for 2011, Georgia and the EU signed two financial agreements.

On behalf of the EU, the documents were signed by the Development and Co-operation Directorate-General Marcus Cornaro, the Georgian side - Vice Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze.

The first financial agreement envisages allocating 11 million euros to support reform of public finance management system. 10 million euros will be sent to the state budget, and one million euros - to finance a project related technical assistance.  

The second financing agreement will provide 7.2 million euros support to Twining programs and technical assistance in implementing the Action Plan within the European Neighborhood Policy. The funds will focus on institutional development of public institutions.
