Azerbaijan introduced a centralized monitoring system over the activities of all checkpoints in the country, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee's Statistics and Information Technology Department's Operations Center Head Iqbal Babayev said.
"The Operations Center is based on modern information technologies and provides centralized control of all goods and vehicles passing the customs control," Babayev said.
The operations center conducts video surveillance through the camera installed at all the checkpoints, including air, rail, sea, road customs checkpoints.
All of the processes occurring in these points, including the registration of goods and passengers across the country, is controlled from the Operations Center.
