Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.11 / Trend E. Ismailov /
A new train schedule will be introduced between Azerbaijan and Russia, CJSC Azerbaijan Railways spokesman Nadir Azmammadov said on Friday.
In connection with frequent explosions on the railway JSC Russian Railways has stopped the movement of passenger trains on the territory of Dagestan and Chechnya in the interval from 18:00 to 6:00. The ban began to act from Feb.9. These measures are applied to ensure the safety of passenger and freight trains.
"We are currently waiting for a proposal from the Russian side on the introduction of the new schedule," Azmammadov said.
He said that today, according to the schedule, the arrival of train in Baku through Russian territory is not expected.
"But trains will again arrive in the capital with a long delay tomorrow," he stressed.
