High-ranking officials of the United Arab Emirates stated that the country's business circles are keenly interested in the very promising Turkmen market due to the favourable investment climate, the local media reported.

President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov received UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Special Representative of the UAE President Khalfan Sultan Al-Ketbi, who were on visit to Ashgabat, the Neytralniy Turkmenistan newspaper reported.

Berdimuhammedov said Turkmenistan attaches considerable importance to strengthening and developing traditionally friendly dialogue with the United Arab Emirates, which was originally built on equality, mutual respect and goodwill, the Altin Asir television channel reported.

Exchanging views on the prospects for further collaboration, the sides reaffirmed that the two countries were committed to full cooperation that was positively intensified by regular top level meetings and talks and exchange of visits at various levels.

Turkmen economists note that the long-term comprehensive development programs and large-scale investment project realized in the country created opportunities for diversification of productive interaction.

Companies from the United Arab Emirates are mainly involved in oil and gas industry in Turkmenistan.
Dragon Oil is working under the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea. Petrofac has received a contract for implementation of services to develop the country's largest gas-bearing deposit South Yoloten in Mary region.
