ADB to allocate $50 mln to Georgia

The Asian Development Bank will allocate $50 million to Georgia torestore water supply and sewage systems in six cities.

The Asian Development Bank will allocate $50 million to Georgia to restore water supply and sewage systems in six cities.

These cities includes Kutaisi, Poti, Zugdidi, Mestia, Marneuli and the Anaklia village, Georgian Deputy Finance Minister Rusudan Kemularia said at the meeting of the Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committee.

An agreement on the improvement of urban service between the bank and the Georgian government has been already reached.

The document has been submitted to the parliament for ratification.

The government will provide $125 million in form of co-financing for the implementation of relevant projects, Kemularia said.
