The Pensions Fund of Saudi Arabia announced on Wednesday that it would deposit a two-month bonus in the accounts of pensioners, including civilians and military officers, on Saturday, Arab News reported.
"We have completed all technical and financial procedures for the payment," the organization for managing the fund said in a statement.
It said the fund would deposit SR5.7 billion in the accounts of pensioners, including SR3.02 billion in the accounts of civilians and SR2.68 billion in the accounts of military officers.
The payment of the two-month bonus to pensioners came after Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah approved the proposal.
