Iran annual income from foreign transit hit $2 billion

Promoting new infrastructures in country's commerce system improves foreign transit and trade, ISNA quoted Deputy Commerce Minister for planning and economical affairs as saying

"Preparing the infrastructure includes comprehensive business plan in the country, which predicts required investment in business sectors,'' Mahmoud Dodangeh said.

According to Dodangeh, Iran annual income from foreign transit hit $2 billion last Solar year (from March 20, 2010 to March 21, 2011. Creating business infrastructures improves Iran's transit and attract more investment from foreign countries.

More than 100 countries choose Iran as the transit destination and that testifies for secure routes and low fuel costs, Dodangeh added.

Dodangeh expressed hope that foreign transit through Iran will improve country's income and create more jobs.
