The profit of Iran's farming corporations was two times more than production cooperatives, IRNA reported quoting Director General of operating systems in Central Organization of Rural Cooperatives of Iran Gholamhossein Tabatabaei as saying.

"The value of interests from farming corporations reached 61 percent while the value of profits from production cooperatives reached 30 percent,'' he said

The Iranian Farm Corporation combines traditional village structure with modern farm management by consolidating individual farm plots into larger units.

Despite efficient cultivation, Iran continues to import agricultural products and downsize the price of domestic products.

Lack of import limit on harvest season damages domestic producers and effects country's agricultural sectors.

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Iran is the third largest country in the Middle East and Central Asia in terms of exports and imports.
