One of the directions of the development of the assessment activities in Azerbaijan is the inventory of housing fund in the country and the formation of an extensive statistical database on the construction of housing, said Deputy Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund under the Central Bank Rahman Hummatov.
He said other directions of the development of the assessment activities identified in the report are the creation of a single information portal about supply and demand in the housing market, which would reflect extensive and reliable statistical database on the market, the liability insurance of independent appraisers, the formation of realtors institutions in the real estate market , the implementation of projects for special trainings, workshops and targeted education for independent appraisers.
"The main shortcomings of the independent appraisers are the high assessment of the mortgage facilities, the use of data from a property document that is not based on real documents in assessing the mortgaged property, unclear pictures and maps of the territory where the facility is located," said Hummatov.
