Iran, Kazakhstan in talks over oil and wheat swap

Iran and Kazakhstan started new round of negotiations for oil and wheat swap, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi as saying.

"Previously, some proposals have been offered over oil swap," he said.

Mehr News Agency reported Wednesday Iran's Foreign Minister held talks with his Kazakh counterpart.

Improving cooperation in oil swap and wheat swap were negotiated in this meeting, Salehi noted at a press conference.

Kazakhstan has good condition in wheat products, Islamic republic of Iran also became independent in this area. Therefore, two countries can cooperate in wheat swap, he added.

The Iranian Foreign Minister noted more negotiations will be made on Wednesday afternoon with Kazakhstan officials.
