Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius will hold talks on bilateral cooperation in Baku next week.
The PM intends to discuss the issues of trade and economic cooperation, including the energy sector with the Azerbaijani side on July 5.
Lithuanian AB Klaipedos Nafta jointly with SOCAR are the participants of the international pipeline company Sarmatia, which is engaged in the development of oil transportation corridor Odessa-Brody-Plock-Gdansk. Azerbaijani oil has already pumped to
Ukraine and Belarus via the Odessa-Brody pipeline.
According to the State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Lithuania amounted to $7.6 million in January-May 2011. Azerbaijan exported the goods to the amount of $3.659 million and imported goods to the amount of $3.973 million.
