Iran to produce 325 mcm gas per day in winter
Azerbaijan, Baku, July 10 /Trend/
Iran Central Oil Fields Company guarantees to produce 325 million cubic meters per day gas for winter, SHANA reported quoting Managing Director of Iran Central Oil Fields Company Mehdi Fakour as saying.
"The company offered plans to provide gas for winter season and there will be no concerns over the issue," he said.
Iran's Oil Ministry estimated gas consumption remains without specific increase due to implementation of cutting subsides.
The National Iranian Oil Company statistics reported Gas consumption in domestic, commercial and industrial sectors during June 25 to July 1 increased by 6.2 percent to 2.385 billion cubic meters.
BP estimated Iran natural gas revenues hold 29.6 trillion cubic meters.
Iran has the world's second-largest natural gas reserves after Russia, but the U.S. and UN sanctions deterring investment by western firms with expertise and technology have slowed its development as a major exporter.
