The German development bank KfW will appoint a new manager on financial projects in Azerbaijan.
The bank is preparing to introduce new manager to the Azerbaijani government during Baku visit of a KfW delegation headed by manager on financial projects Herald Hugner, KfW Baku Office said on Friday. The visit is scheduled for Sept.23-30.
The mission will include Kurt Strasser, who is expected to assume Hugner's post in late 2011, as well as head of the Department of Financial and Private Sector Development Michael Mershel.
Strasser will get familiarized with the bank's activity in the country and hold meetings with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, as well as with the KfW partner banks. Representatives of the German bank will also attend AccessBank founders' meeting.
Azerbaijan's cooperation with the German development bank started in 1994. Restoring power, water and other infrastructure, supporting the development of the financial and banking sectors, the private sector, health, environment, etc. are the strategic areas of the bank's activity.
