Average rate on deposits in manat as of Aug.1, 2011 amounted to 10.69 percent compared to 10.65 percent as of July 1, 11.81 percent as of Jan.1, 2011, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan said.
Average rate on deposits in foreign currencies amounted to 11.16 percent compared to 11 percent and 11.64 percent respectively.
As of Aug. 1, the average rate on deposits of physical entities in manat remained unchanged compared to figure of July 1, amounting to 11.42 percent compared to 11.79 percent as of early 2011. Average rate on deposits from individual customers in foreign currencies amounted to 11.28 percent compared to 11.15 percent and 12.27 percent respectively.
As of early August, the average rate on deposits of legal entities in manat was 5.65 percent compared to 5.95 percent as of July 1 and 6.19 percent as of Jan.1, 2011.
Average rate on deposits from corporate clients in foreign currency amounted to 7.46 percent compared to 8.14 percent and 6.27 percent respectively.
