The Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development attracts new enterprises of the country manufacturing competitive products to place the information about their enterprises and products in a special catalogue, Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said at a meeting with producers and buyers of competitive industrial products on Saturday. The meeting was held in the Sumgait industrial park.
"The ministry has prepared a catalogue including the information on 97 companies manufacturing industrial products in such fields as energy, ICT, metallurgy, construction, oil and petrochemical engineering, light industry and furniture industry in Azerbaijan," Mustafayev said.
He said that the catalogue includes the information on 752 names of products of these companies.
"It was the first published catalogue," he said. "We are ready to receive proposals from manufacturers to expand the list of the names of local products."
The catalogue is planned to be published every six months or once a year in case of necessity. Mustafayev expressed hope that the data on new enterprises will be published in each edition.
The catalogue of enterprises manufacturing competitive products has been prepared to determine the list of these companies and to widely use the products in the local market. At present, imported products dominate in the market.
