In Jan.-Aug., Azerbaijan imported about 1,230 tons of cement and cement clinker, which is 33.5 percent more than Jan.-Aug. 2010, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reported. Cement and cement clinker in Jan.-Aug. was imported at $60.64 million, or 43.8 percent more than last year.
Cement clinkers in Jan.-Aug. was imported in volume of 524,000 tons, which is 56.7 percent more than last year. Clinkers were imported at about $23 million or 44.1 percent more than the same period of 2010.
During January-August, the country imported 703.2 thousand tons of cement, which is 20.2 percent more than the same period in 2010. Cement in this period was imported about $ 37.7 million, which more than in January-August last year to 43.7 percent.
During Jan.-Aug., the country imported 703,200 tons of cement, which is 20.2 percent more than the same period of 2010. Cement in this period was imported at about $37.7 million, which is 43.7 percent more than Jan.-Aug. last year.
In Jan.-Sept. this year, Azerbaijan produced approximately 1.04 million tons of cement, which is seven percent more than the same period of 2010.
