The Kazakh government has decided to attract additional 5,700 grain carriers.
According to KTZ, park grain inventory currently stands at 5,200 wags, while demand for October-December is two times higher - 10,500.
"Georgia promises to help us with the grain carries," Almagambetov said. "They will provide Kazakhstan roughly 100 empty grain carries on leasing terms, while additional 500 grain carriers will be provided through Uzbekistan after their unloading in that country. So, Georgia will provide us overall 600 grain carries on leasing terms."
This year Kazakhstan plans to harvest 22-23 million tons of grain in net weight. Export potential is estimated at 10 million tons.
