Russian VTB Bank considers the development of the branch network of the subsidiary bank in Azerbaijan an important component of its operations, member of the Board of VTB Bank Olga Dergunova said in Baku today.
A branch of VTB Bank (Azerbaijan) was officially opened in Baku on Friday.
"Today we open the first branch, and the branch network is an important component of our bank. And developing the network from 5 to 10 branches as the first step would be an accurate decision. And within a year, it will be known how this format of creating the branch network will be in demand on the market. After this, we can develop the network in the same format and in other parts of the country," said Dergunova.
According to her, now the bank is considering opening branches in major cities in the country. Dergunova said assessment of the potential of the country today is much higher than two years ago when the bank entered only the Azerbaijani market.
