The managing director of the Iran's flag carrier HOMA has said Qatari planes can operate Iranian domestic flights only if they are registered as an Iranian entity.
Farhad Parvaresh told the IRNA news agency that Qatar Airways has called for operating Iranian domestic flights. According to the Cabotage Law any foreign airplane can operate other country's domestic flights if it is registered in that country.
Cabotage is the transport of goods or passengers between two points in the same country by a vessel or an aircraft registered in another country. In aviation terms, it is the right to operate within the domestic borders of another country.
