Presidents of Kazakhstan and Vietnam discussed the possibility of opening direct flights between the biggest economic and financial centers of the two countries - Almaty and Ho Chi Minh.

The issue was on focus of talks between Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Shang during Nazarbayev's first official visit to Vietnam, the President's press service reported.

As part of the three-day visit, which started on Oct. 30, the two countries signed agreements on double taxation avoiding, cooperation in the field of civil aviation, tourism, education and mutual legal assistance in civil and commercial matters.

Kazakhstan and Vietnam reached an agreement to hold Days of Culture of Vietnam in Kazakhstan in 2012 and the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Vietnam in 2013.
