Malaysian companies interested to invest in Uzbekistan

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan announced future investment projects of Malaysian investors in Uzbekistan on Nov. 9.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan announced future investment projects of Malaysian investors in Uzbekistan on Nov. 9.

Executive directors of Malaysian investment companies Corvina Ventures (CVSB), Ahmed Rahman, and La Transa Capital (LTC), Haris Hameed, visited Uzbekistan on November 1-7, 2011.

The visit targets participating in investment projects on infrastructure development in Uzbekistan

The Malaysian delegation held meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, Reconstruction and Development Fund of Uzbekistan, the Republican Road Fund under the Ministry of Finance.

The Malaysian investors had talks with the Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Alishir Shayhov Nov. 7 to discuss the establishment of investment cooperation with interested companies of Uzbekistan on in the afternoon

CVSB and LTC are subsidiaries of American holding company Corvina Investment Holding, which specialize in financing major infrastructure projects in developing countries under the state guarantee. Investment opportunities of the company are estimated at $0.5-50 billion.
