"Eurovision" song contest will be held in Baku in 2012. The sum to be allocated for preparation and conduct of the Eurovision Song Contest-2012 has not been determined yet, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov told media on Wednesday, commenting on the information that 1 billion manat will be allocated.
"The work is underway to prepare the contest," he said. "When we get data on the necessary expenses, we will finance them."
He said that not only the state itself, but also many private sponsors, including various organizations, companies who are interested in tourism development, finance Eurovision song contest.
"Azerbaijan will also provide the necessary support for this event," Sharifov said.
The 57th Eurovision song contest will be held in Azerbaijan. The semi-finals of the competition will be held on May 22 and 24 and final - May 26.
