The index of industrial production (IIP) in Turkey increased by 34.8 percent in October of 2011 from the same month of 2010, the Turkish Statistical Institute reported on Tuesday.
IIP in the country increased by 5.8 percent in October of 2011 compared to the previous month.
The index of industrial production in the mining operations in Turkey increased by 36.8 percent during the year (October of 2010-October of 2011), while industrial production index in manufacturing rose by 34.7 percent.
The highest growth of index was observed in the energy sector, which rose by 45 percent in October of 2011 compared to the same period of the last year.
During the year index of industrial orders in Turkey increased by 33.8 percent. The index of industrial orders rose by 5.3 percent in October from the previous month.
The highest growth in the index of industrial order was observed in production of vehicles and equipment. During the year the growth of index in this area amounted to 93.8 percent.
