The total profit of the Turkish banking sector decreased by 10.4 per cent in November 2011 compared to November 2010 and amounted to 18.257 billion lira, a report of the Turkish Central bank said on Thursday.
The assets of the banking sector increased by 26 per cent or by 250.1 billion lira in November. In January-November 2011 the banks' assets increased by 20.4 per cent or 205.707 billion lira.
The total volume of the assets of the banking sector amounted to 1.213 trillion lira as of November 2011.
During this period the balance of Turkish banks' securities decreased by 0.2 per cent and amounted to 287.212 billion lira.
