A new office of the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry started its work in Austria in 2011, the ministry reported on Tuesday.
"Last year AZPROMO expanded activities of its Georgian office, and opened a new office in Austria thus increasing number of its offices to two", the ministry said.
In addition to this, AZPROMO supported establishment of West Coast Connection export and import company in the U.S. which sales Azerbaijani products under the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand in a number of prestigious shops of Los-Angeles.
In 2011, AZPROMO signed memorandums on mutual cooperation with the Latvian Agency of Entrepreneurship and Development, the French Organization of Entrepreneurs (MEDEF), the State Agency of Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investment of Slovenia, Foreign Trade Council of Greece, Industrial Chamber of Jordan, Trade and Industry Chamber of Stavropol (Russia). These documents are very important for information exchange, expansion of business relations and promoting investments and opportunities of the Azerbaijani business.
In total AZPROMO held 190 events last year, 99 of which were held abroad.
