A meeting with Polish Ambassador Marian Przezdziecki was held at the Uzbek Foreign Ministry yesterday, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
The sides exchanged views on mutually beneficial directions of cooperation, and discussed promising projects in trade and economic, investment spheres, the report says.
According to the embassy, Uzbek-Polish trade turnover in 2011 will amount to over $150 million compared to 129 million in 2010, which demonstrates Polish entrepreneurs' growing interest in Uzbek products.
Polish business is also interested in key spheres of Uzbekistan's economy, where on a number of Polish companies are holding intensive negotiations with their Uzbek counterparts.
A Polish business mission will visit Uzbekistan in 2012 and take part in the work of the International Industrial Fair, Polish-Uzbek business workshop and contact exchanges.
Several major Polish firms' employees are also expected to visit Uzbekistan to hold presentations, meetings and negotiations.
In 2012, it is planned to hold the fifth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Warsaw.
