Export of chemical substances from Turkey increased by 10.93 per cent to hit $1.3 billion in Jan, 2012 compared to Dec, 2011, the Turkish Statistics Institute said on Wednesday.
Export of chemical substances increased by 29 per cent to hit $16.3 billion in 2011 compared to 2010.
Thus, the largest part of the Turkish total export fell to export of chemical substances.
The largest number of chemical substances form Turkey in January was exported to Egypt, China, the UAE, Iraq, Malta, Germany and Jordan. Export to China increased by 247 per cent in Jan, 2012 compared to Jan, 2011.
