Business Materials 14 February 2012 17:01 (UTC +04:00)

The Kyrgyz State Material Reserves Fund has purchased wheat without a tender, KirTAG reported citing Public Supervisory Board Chairman Omurbek Tashmambetov.

"The fund says it will announce a repeated tender because it failed to hold it on Feb. 14, while they have already bought grain," he said.

"The price and proposals will be specified."

He said Argon offered to supply 10,000 tons of grain for $4 million 184,000 tons of Bayhan for $3 million, and Kara-Suu for $ 3 million.

Deputy Director Tulegenov Nurdin said the tender was postponed to replenish the fund's reserves due to a lack of bids.

No proposals from suppliers were received.
