Azerbaijan has started to apply a new approach to the assignment of addresses to real estate property, to compiling and maintaining the register addresses, State Committee on Property said on Tuesday.
Previously, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree amending the Rules of Registry addresses and the address assignment to the property in the country.
Addresses will not be assigned not to buildings, but to entrances and doors in the building in accordance with these changes. Individual addresses will be issued to an important input into the building.
"The address number is issued to entrance. It is associated with the street on which the building located. Practice of giving addresses to entrances meets European standards and best international experience and minimizes time spent on searching the address," the statement said.
Objects of transport infrastructure are coded, and the figures are entered into the database in order to keep the register in accordance with the changes.
For this purpose, the State Committee previously announced tender for the establishment of an information system of address register in Azerbaijan, won by the Korean company SK C & C Co.LTD. The company has already started the relevant work. Time of execution of works is eight months.
