Over 6,240 kilometers of roads have been constructed, rebuilt and repaired in Azerbaijan in 2003-2011, Azeryolservis told Trend on Wednesday.
"Roughly 160 bridges with a total length of 18,000 running meters were built and put into operation during this period," the company said.
About 17,513 of the 18,986 kilometers of Azerbaijani roads are served by the company. There are about 1,230 bridges with a total length of 43,562 running meters on these roads. The total length of roads, avenues and streets in Baku is 1,525 kilometers.
The company bought 2,822 vehicles, road-building machinery, equipment and facilities for various purposes for eight years. In particular, about 30 asphalt plants were put into operation over this period.
