Iran's parliament (Majlis) will meet on March 4 to start reviewing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's budget proposal, Mehr news agency reports.
On account of the executive branch being late with its budget proposal, the Majlis will most likely finish its work next year (Iran's solar year ends on March 20), said the head of planning and budget commission Hojatoleslam Ali Banai.
The executive branch is required to send its budget proposal to the Majlis in the first week of December, but it took Mr Ahmadinejad until February 1 to present his budget for next year.
