Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain has said that Iran has agreed to export 80,000 barrels of crude oil annually to Pakistan and has also agreed to provide $250 million for the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, PakTribune reported.
He said this in the meeting of the special parliamentary committee Tuesday that Pakistan had asked for $500 million but Iran agreed to half of that money.
According to Hussain, Pakistani delegation will visit Iran sometime next month to discuss and finalize the deal about the gas pipe-line project.
The tender for the Pak-Iran gas pipeline will be issued on Monday or Tuesday, he further added.
