The Bank of Georgia's shares are placed on the London Stock Exchange's premium listing, the bank said today.
About 3,000 companies from 70 countries work at the exchange. Of these, only 1,000 companies are placed in the premium listing. Only one bank, the Bank of Georgia, is from the Caucasus region.
The bank is also the only foreign bank, along with the British HSBC, Lloyds, RBS, Barclays, and Standard Chartered. Their shares are placed in a premium listing. Its equity capital exceeded half a billion dollars. It is among 350 largest companies in terms of its market
capitalization.
According to the bank, the premium listing will give it the opportunity to increase its share liquidity and increase its investors.
