India’s largest business delegation leaves for Iran

To boost its trade and investigate more business opportunities with Iran, a 45 member Indian trade delegation Friday left for Tehran, IRNA reported.

The largest business delegation, led by Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), will stay there until March 14.

During the five-day trip, the delegation, representing sectors like, Textiles, Agriculture, Food, Automobiles and Tools, Tea, Rice, and Petrochem, will have meetings with officials of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Mines and Industries and Tabriz Chamber of Commerce.

Due to the economic crisis prevailing in the West, the delegation expects to get a lot of business from the trip as Iran holds huge opportunities for India's exports.

Iran is India's second-largest oil supplier after Saudi Arabia, providing around 12 percent of the country's crude needs.
