A tar processing plant with a total capacity of processing raw materials amounting to 1.4 million tons per year is being built in Turkmenbashi, the ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan said on Friday.

The construction of the new enterprise has been realised through a series of innovative projects designed to maximise the full value of crude oil and production of competitive petroleum products at an international standards level, the report said.

Lining and equipping of external networks of a delayed coking unit with a Deasphalting tar (UT-2 DAG) is implemented at this stage. The works are being implemented by units of the Turkmenneftegazstroy state concern.

About 200,000 tons of the total coke and 300,000 tons of asphalt-free and for the most valuable raw material for high-quality lubricating oils will be produced every year after the commissioning of the UT-2 DAG from tar and the residue of vacuum distillation of fuel oil.
Welding and assembly is being implemented at constructed areas. Valves, cranes, and other shut-off valve distribution used in pipelines in supplying and carrying away lines is underway.

Before commissioning, the installation process installers will build pipeline communications for more than 30 different purposes and diameter connecting them to the factory with raw overpasses, energy and resources and product lines.
