Real income of Azerbaijani population increases by 12 percent

Nominal income per capita in Azerbaijan amounted to 792.1 manat in the first quarter of 2012 which exceeds the figure in the same period last year by 12.3 per cent, the State Committee on Statistics told Trend.

Real money income per capita amounted to 718.8 manat with growth of 12.4 per cent.
During the reporting period, the nominal income of the population of Azerbaijan amounted to 7.2 billion manat which is 13.9 per cent higher than last year. Real money income of the population during this period reached 6.56 billion manat with a growth of 13.9 per cent.

In the first quarter, the population spent 66.4 per cent of personal income for the purchase of goods and services, 9.3 per cent - on taxes, contributions for social insurance and mandatory dues and 22.1 per cent - on the accumulation.

The average monthly wage in Azerbaijan amounted to 368.5 manat in January-February, which is 8.5 per cent higher than in 2011.

The highest salary recorded in the mining industry is in the areas of financial and insurance activities, information and communication, scientific and technological activities, as well as in the construction sector.
